Why Seinäjoki?

It is no coincidence that the conference takes place in Seinäjoki. Seinäjoki is one of the fastest growing urban areas in Finland with a strong industrial and business base. Connections between the city and the conference organiser, University Consortium of Seinäjoki UCS, are frequent and productive. For example, an Alvar Aalto Chair of urban and regional development at Tampere University, located at UCS, was established with reference to the distinguished Finnish architect with a special contribution also to the architecture of Seinäjoki. So, while enjoying the conference, please also find time for some distinctive sightseeing.

The conference venue is the UCS home base, the congress centre Frami, building B (street address Kampusranta 9 B) – the orange spot on the map below.
