ScSB Research Award
A researcher from the Nordic & Baltic region will be awarded the annual ScSB Research Award. Members of ScSB are welcome to submit nominations for the award to the ScSB President, Ólafur Eysteinn Sigurjónsson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Oral & Poster Presentations
We will be welcoming submission of abstracts for oral presentations (12 mins + 3 min Q&A) and poster presentations between November 2018 and January 2019. Poster presenters will also be given the opportunity to compete in the Rapid-Fire Poster Competition by pitching their research in front of an audience and judging panel (2 min).
The ScSB General Assembly is open to all conference participants. General issues regarding the society’s governance and activities will be discussed and an election will be held in order to fill vacant committee positions.
As well as informal sit-down buffet breakfasts and lunches, the conference includes dinners on both nights, with a traditional Finnish performance during the banquet. On the second day, we will spend the afternoon doing an outdoor activity, before returning to the venue to relax and perhaps take a sauna, to get the true Finnish experience.
